Remembering ATC's

I've got Nicole (Craft Queen) and her mum Ann staying with me at the moment. They are doing the Craft & Quilt show here in Perth at the convention centre in the city. We were talking about ATC's last night and I dragged out the 'ol ATC Binder and went through some of these oldies. I have not looked at them for years actually! The dates for some of the ATC's are starting at 2003, boy does time fly! Looking at them almost makes me want to do some more of them. (click on image to see it in detail) Anyway I thought I might share these ones from my ATC collections. The binder is also something back then we made - I sold these in kit form for the base of the binder and all you did is embellish the front and put your ATC's inside. Have a great day thanks for looking and I will also be doing a little demo at the show at Craft Queens stand on the weekend sometime, so pop down if you like it's on all day each day until Sunday - train stops right out front!

Autumn at Trigg Beach

Autumn at Trigg Beach by collectionselements
My camera captured such an wonderful scene from last nights sunset at the beach.Click on the image to see it in full resolution. Having a wonderful time learning all about landscape and sunset photography. We are having such balmy weather in Perth at the moment, I wonder when it will rain! Looking forward to the next meetup down south next month.

On another note if you are going to the Craft and Quilt show at the convention centre here in Perth, starting this Wednesday, pop in and see Craft Queen's exhibit as she has some awesome ribbons and trims and is also stocking some new items by Collections!

Meet Bohemian! & 100,000 page views woo hoo!

Hi there, just a little post to let you see some creations using the 6 x 6 paper called Bohemian, an eclectic style of rich burgundy tones with touches of gold and grey. Perfect for winter coming up and I think it's great for adding a bit of drama and made especially to go with white or kraft cardstock which co-incidentally is the new card and folders I have created in this release this month.

Below I have embellished a creative folder with these rich tones and tied it off with some antique paris binding. To finish I have used some of the transparencies trim.
A small accordion book with black accordion insert tied with some lovely satin seam binding that was pre-crushed makes an elegant little journal or keepsake to give your mum, aunty or granny. I had a bit of fun again with a little spool, as I cannot stop making those little things!
Well off to the office I go and do some orders! thanks so much for visiting my site, and I am kinda chuffed that there have been 100,000 page view here!

Another look at the newest items soon to be released for Collections. These are the blank "Creative Folders" that come in either white or kraft to decorate with your chosen papers. This sample above and below are embellished with the "Olden Paper" 6 x 6 range and included in the folders are 2 frames for decorating the cover if you choose to.
Perfect for cardmakers to embellish and give as a gift or for scrapbookers to add a notebook or notecards which will be available soon on the website for retailers to order. Just in time for this release blank plain and scallop cards for decorating will also be a great addition to this range.
Creative Folders come two per pack, one to give away and one to keep! The kraft goes so well with Collections vintage style of papers and ephemera. In this sample I have dangled some bits and pieces and used the Gate Key Large covered in the new "Olden Days" 6 x 6 paper pack. Thanks for looking and stay tuned for more!!!

Introducing "Olden Days" Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of the newest paper range by Collections, coming soon to a store near you! Introducing - "Olden Days" 6 x 6 papers for your creative projects, scrapbooking or cardmaking. This range has colours of eggshell green, smokey grey and old paper. There are six different papers per pack and I have also added an Extra's Pack so you can add more to this range of papers. The above project is on the "Open Frames" like in the earlier post and there is also some new cardmaking supplies available as well and in the sample shown on the left there are some new "Greetings" in kraft and white. Click on the images if you want to see more detail!
Teamed up with this range are "Ephemeral Labels" in kraft or white and there is also a lovely set of "Old Vintage" in kraft or white to cut out and add to your off the page or cardmaking projects. The great thing about having the two types is with the white you can add your own tones of colour with distress inks and the like. In this sample above is the new "Mini Tray" and you will love it's diminutive style and it is very cute! It's 150mm x 127mm (6" x 5") and has 6 sections to decorate with lovely ephemera and objet d'art. The little spoon is from the "Ephemeral Labels" sheet and I cut it out and mounted it up so it is 'floating' within the space.
From the set of "Olden Days" 6 x 6 I created a men's Birthday card (I needed this for my nieces husbands 30th on the weekend) using some of the smokey grey tones teamed up with a nice bike from the "Ephemeral Labels" sheet in white. The star strip and Birthday strip are from the new transparencies sheet "Word Art", which you will love as it's made for cutting strips for cards etc. By the way Demian loved the card!
One more little sneak, well it's the full thing really! a lovely little "Heart Tray" that you will love to embellish, it petite and so easy to put together as with the other printers tray in previous collections. I have used the new "Boutique" paper pack an some of the new tickets and again the "Old Vintage" sheet. Hope you like these new items, thanks for looking! : )

More from Boutique!

I have been busy and I hope you like this sneak preview. It shows more of the colour range than the last post, and I am crazy for those little spools. The tallest one in the rear is 8cm and the one on its side is 4cm and the ones in the foreground are 2.5cm high). There is something about spools that I find intriguing - is it their diminutive size, their multiple ways of covering them, or the groupings that make them so much fun? They are for me addictive. In this range there are some "Old Vintage" cut outs (new product)  that you can use on almost any project that is old and vingtagy. Just to let you know I have used the exisiting "Embellished Spool Kit" and the new "Boutique 6x6" papers and there are about 3 or 4 new products used in these samples - thanks for looking!

Sneak Peek from the Boutique Paper Range

Hi guys, another little sneak peek for you all who are waiting so patiently - thanks! I have a little bit of a delay as I am waiting on some more product to come very soon. This is "Boutique" paper range 6 x 6 and includes some lovely eggplant and dark lime green papers with a hint of navy.
The frame that I have used is new and will be fantastic for a deep recessed look so you can layer in lots of elements and get plenty of details in this off-the-page look, it also comes with the strut/stand. There are some new transparencies, this one shown here, there is not enough of it to give you the full picture but it is really lovely with elements to cut out and also areas to use as broken glass to frame your work. There are some new words as well pictured above and these are from the Travel set. All you do is cut them out and mount them on chipboard if you want to.

Well I'm off for now and will be back soon with some more sneaks! Thanks for looking and hopefully the release will be next week sometime. All customers that are registered on the website that have selected subscribe to the newsletter will receive the notification when the new items will be available in the onlinestore!

In Memoriam of Mary

It's been a very long 25 years today that I remember a dear and special lady, my mum. Even though a quarter of a century has passed, I remember her beautiful spirit everyday. Mary was a true friend to me and not only was she a loving mother she touched the lives of all that knew her. I miss her more than anything and I wish I could see her again, just once more to tell her how much I love her. You are always in my heart mum - FOREVER & EVER..........LOVE YOU.........

Photo Update

Just a little update - the past month I have been "getting to know my camera" and I've been getting out and about taking pictures on location. The picture of the boys above are the twins that live in my street, who kindly posed for a quick shot the other day. They are the cutest little boys and are full of life which reminds me of the time when my twin girls were that age!
On the weekend I did some more shots on location - this one above is from Hamersley Beach or North Beach. My aim was to get sunset, rocks and water using a slow shutter speed to add some lovely wispy bits! (I have learned a bit of jargon lately can you tell? LOL). Next is my take on the "Sculptures By the Sea" 2012, an event held once a year and I think there were more than 80 exhibitors. Some were amazing and mind boggling and others were "just for fun". I like details so some of theses pictures are of detail only and not the full sculpture.
This is part of the NO sign exhibit and I absolutely LOVED the globes so much I would like to have nicked them!
This extra large yellow sign, which you cannot see as I did a black and white has a "tall ship" in the centre of the "M". Quite a stunning look, lots of kids got their face pictured in the "O".

Trying out my new lens 50mm 1.4, got a close up of the balls of wool swinging around in the wind.
Just for fun I took a picture of a friend camera, which he was using to photograph with - his only limitation was 12 shots and black and white.
No, not a sculpture but rather street photography here, a lovely lady watching me roll in the sand to take pictures up close. The sand was great tho nice and soft!

All pictures were taken in the morning starting at 5.45am before, during and after sunrise. I'm not and early bird but looks like I'll have to be to get the shot!
I believe the exhibition is on until the 16th March, so pop down and take a look it's amazing! By the way the pic of the tap below is at least 2.5 - 3 meters tall - awesome!
